Customer self-service
Self-service cancellation is available only while a booking is payment_pending or request_received and before collection, subject to the active policy version.
After scheduling or collection
Once operations has advanced the request, contact the business. A cancellation cannot silently discard a scheduled handoff, equipment custody, completed diagnosis, or a payment/refund operation.
Payment race handling
A payment captured after an eligible cancellation is reconciled and, where required, refunded through one idempotent operation. A browser return alone never proves payment or refund success.
Operator and policy contact
The verified controller/operator identity is a launch-blocking configuration value. A verified privacy contact must be configured before publication.
